Andorra 2 Euro 2014 20 years member of the European Coloured

The Council of Europe was founded on May 5 1949. The Council of Europe is based in Strasbourg and currently has 47 member countries. There are also 7 observer countries. Andorra became a member of the Council of Europe on 10 November 1994. In 2014 it was 20 years since Andorra became a member and in honour of this fact Andorra has issued a special 2 Euro coin. It is the first time that Andorra has issued a special 2 Euro coin. This specially coloured 2 Euro coin show the beautiful colours of Andorra. The name of the country at the top of the coin and the text under it "Al Concell d'Europa" are in the colours of the Andorran national flag. Furthermore, on the left is the coloured National Coat of Arms of Andorra. The artful number "20" depicts the 20th anniversary of the Council of Europe. The number is depicted with a large "2" with a smaller zero which contains the 12 stars in Europe. The number 20 is underlined with a flourish. The number 20 is blue and the stars are yellow in accordance with the colours of the Flag of Europe. At the bottom of the coin, the year 2014 is shown in red.
