Product Description
These 2016 Austrian 5 Euro coins have the theme of the Haas van Dürer (Haas = Hare) . The most famous work of the famous painter Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) is the æVeldhaasÆ (European Hare). This watercolour was painted in the year 1502 and it is unbelievable with what precision this hare was painted. To the right on the coin is the squatting hare. In the background a fragment of another famous painting by Albrecht Dürer called æGrosse RasenstückÆ (The Great Piece of Turf). In addition, Dürer's initials appear on each Dürer work. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2016. On the back of this nine-sided copper coin are the coats of arms of the nine Bundesländer (provinces) of Austria. In the centre the number 5 is displayed and in the outer ring of the coin the name Republik Österreich. At the bottom of the coin is the word EURO.
