Product Description

This is the second coin of a series of three coins with the subject of Mozart. This coin has as its topic æMozart the GeniusÆ. In 1781 Mozart went to Vienna where he wrote his most famous opera. He worked very hard but also lived a turbulent lifestyle. As a result he had a regular shortage at the cash register. When he died early in 1791 he had large debts. His best-known work, The Magic Flute, was performed for the first time a few months after his death. On the face of the coin is a picture of a Barbara Krafft painting that was painted in 1819. At the top of the coin are some music notes. The background is the same as the background of the first coin of this series. At the top of the coin is the country name Republik Oesterreich, along with the value of 20 Euro. At the bottom of the coin Amadé a part of the signature of Mozart is depicted. On the reverse of the coin there is a scene from the Opera Don Giovanni, where Donna Elvira tries to move Don Giovanni to a better way of life. On the left side of the coin a covered table is displayed. The text æDon GiovanniÆ is also shown. The coin is delivered, with a numbered certificate, in a luxury package.
