Product Description

These are three different coins from Germany in 2018 from the Karlsruhe mint. It concerns the 2018 2, 5 and 10 cent coins. In Germany there are five state mints which are indicated by a letter struck on the coins, these are Berlin = A, Munich = D, Stuttgart = F, Karlsruhe = G and Hamburg = J. These three coins are from the Karlsruhe mint, indicated by the letter æGÆ. On the 2 & 5 cent coins an oak leaf is shown with two acorns to the right side. At the bottom of the coin, to the right of the sprig, is the year 2018. On the left next to the year the location letter, in this case "G", is shown. On the 10 cent coin is an image of the Brandenburg Gate. The Brandenburg Gate, which is in Berlin, was built in the year 1788. It is more than 26 metres high and more than 65 metres wide. Until the fall of the Berlin wall the Brandenburg Gate was in the Russian Sector, so from East Berlin it could only be seen from a distance. Now, of course, people can walk underneath. Nearby stripes in the street where the Wall once stood are still visible. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2018 and underneath this is the mint letter = G, which shows that it is minted in Karlsruhe. In the outer ring of the coins are the 12 stars of Europe. The quality of the coins is UNC (Uncirculated).
