Product Description

The people of Finland were allowed to choose which in their opinion are the most beautiful national landscapes or nature parks in Finland. In this context Finland has issued a series of nine special bimetal 5 Euro coins with these nine highlights of Finland at the centre. The third coin from this series has the theme Punkaharju. Finland is also called the land of the 1000 lakes and the area of Punkaharju is an example of this. In Punkaharju the tallest trees in Finland grow up to 40 metres high! It is one of the most beautiful areas in Finland where every visitor who has been there once wants to go back again. It is located in the east of Finland in the province of Savonia. On the face of the coin is a representation of an aerial photograph of Punkaharju with its shimmering lakes. The reverse of this series of coins is the same. The map of Finland is depicted with a dot on the coin which indicates where Punkaharju can be found. On the left of the map of Finland is the value indication of 5 Euro. In the outer ring of the coin the year 2018 is shown together with the country name Suomi (Finnish) and Finland (Swedish). The quality of the coin is UNC and is delivered in a printed coin holder.
