Andorra 2 Euro 2017 Pyrenees Country Coloured

This is the special coloured 2 Euro coin from Andorra 2017 which has the country Andorra as theme. The Principality of Andorra has existed since the year 988 and as a Principality has been an independent country since 1278. The special thing is that it is a Diarchy, it is headed by two co-princes, the Bishop of Urgell and the President of France. The Pyrenees is a large mountain range in southwestern Europe with peaks of over 3,000 metres. They form the separation between France and Spain and in these Pyrenees the mini-state of Andorra can be found. The country is about 500 square kilometres in size and has a total of about 80,000 inhabitants. The country officially uses the Euro as its currency and since the year 2014 has issued its own Euro coins. This special coloured 2 Euro coin of the year 2017 represents the country of Andorra with their own really special 2 Euro coin. At the top of the coin a triangle of three wavy strips is depicted. This triangle is coloured in the National colours of Andorra. These colours are Blue, Red and Yellow. These three coloured strips roughly represent the country Andorra which is also triangular. Under this triangle the country name Andorra is shown blue-coloured underneath which, in yellow, the text "El Pais dels Pirineus" (The Pyrenees Country) written in the Andorran language. At the bottom of the coin, the year 2017 is coloured red. The coin is packaged in a plastic coin capsule.
