Product Description
The Vienna Philharmonic is an Austrian Symphony Orchestra which was founded in 1842. It is one of the most famous orchestras in Austria. The Wiener Philharmoniker have for many years been the namesake of a special Austrian Euro coin, the 1.5 euro Wiener Philharmoniker. This particular coin has a weight of a Troy Ounce. A Troy Ounce is 31.1 grams and is a popular weight unit used in precious metals. On the face of the coin a number of instruments played by the members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, such as some violins, a bass, a harp, a horn and a clarinet are depicted. At the top of the coin the name æWiener PhilharmonikerÆ is shown. On the reverse of the coin the organ, in the golden hall of the Viennese Music Association, is displayed. Above it is the country name Republik Oesterreich (Republic of Austria). Beneath the organ is the text æ1 Unze FeinsilberÆ (1 Troy Ounce pure silver) together with the year 2018. At the bottom of the coin is the value indication of 1,50 Euro.
