Belgium 10 Euro 2017 Central Station Antwerp

This is the second coin of the æEuropa StarÆ series of coins issued by a number of euro countries annually. In 2017 such a coin will be issued by seven European countries. The theme of the coins has been art over the centuries and the series began in 2016. One goes from new to old and this second coin of the series concerns the era of iron and glass. In Belgium the Central Station of Antwerp was chosen to be portrayed on the face of the coin. This is built of iron and glass, and a steam train is shown leaving the station. On the left side of the coin is the English text æThe Age of Iron and GlassÆ and æAntwerp Central StationÆ. On the reverse of the coin a large star that characterizes this series is depicted plus a smaller Europa Star. In addition the country name of Belgium is shown in three languages. On the right side of the coin is the value of 10 Euro as well as the mint signs. In the centre you can see the map of Europe with the different EU countries. The coin is presented in a luxury package and is s upplied with a certificate.
