Product Description
The Finnish population was asked what they found that was something typically Finnish and the answer to that was not surprising: The Sauna. The whole world knows that Finns love the Sauna. This is traditionally used extensively in midsummer when nature is the most beautiful. A Sauna is also called a Finnish Bath. They first sit or lie in a wooden room with a temperature of 70 - 95 degrees. The humidity is extremely low, 5 to 20%. After 8 to 10 minutes, the heat is exchanged for a cold shower, snow or cold water. This is repeated two to three times. The Sauna is good for blood circulation, prevents colds and has a positive effect on joints and lungs. On the face of the coin the various details that belong to a sauna, such as wood, coal and leaves are depicted. Furthermore, the text æFinnish Sauna CultureÆ is shown in Swedish and in Finnish. On the reverse of the coin is a Finnish landscape with sauna houses where smoke issues from the chimneys. Additionally, the country name Suomi (Finnish) and Finland (Swedis h) is shown together with the year 2018. At the bottom of the coin is the value indication of 10 Euro. The coin is presented in a luxury birchwood packaging and is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
