Finland 5 Euro 2017 Kekkonen Proof

This is the eighth and final coin of the Finnish Presidents series. Finland has more presidents, but it is common for only deceased persons to be shown on a coin (except Kings and Queens). The eighth Finnish president was æUrho Kaleva KekkonenÆ (1900 - 1986). Kekkonen came from a farming family and was very sporty, he has even been a Finnish High Jump champion. For years he has had the national high-jump record to his name! Kekkonen is the longest-serving president in Finland (1956 to 1981). Kekkonen continued the policy of its predecessor Paasikivi, being neutral û active against Russia and the EU / USA. Finland is not yet a member of NATO.
