Finland 5 Euro 2017 Risto Ryti Proof

This is the fifth coin of the series of Finnish honouring its former presidents.This in the context of the celebration of 100 years of The Republic of Finland. It is a series of eight coins of which four were issued in 2016 and four coins to be issued in 2017. This fifth coin of the series has as the theme the fifth president of Finland Risto Ryti (1889-1956). Ryti was Finland's president from 1940 to 1944. During his presidency he agreed with Nazi Germany and was therefore convicted of war crimes after World War II. On the face of the coin is an image of Risto Ryti. At the top his full name ôRisto Heikko Rytiö is printed along with his birth year and year of death. The reverse of this series of eight coins is the same, a cityscape as seen from an open book. A Proof coin is struck with a special stamp and has the highest quality. This beautiful coin is presented in a bright luxury package. On the package is a picture of a key with the Finnish flag. This mark indicates that this product is manufactured exclusi vely from Finnish materials.
