Product Description
This is the first coin of a series of nine special Bi-metal Finnish 5 Euro coins which have the theme "Finnish Landscapes". These nine different coins will all be issued in 2018. The Finns were allowed to vote which nine parks are, in their opinion, the most popular parks in Finland. The park which received the most votes is the Koli National Park. This park is located in North Karelia, in the east of Finland near Russia. The park has an area of approximately 30 sq.km. On the coin an image taken from the top of the Ukko-Koli mountain is depicted. This mountain is 347 metres high. In the background is the Pielinen lake. The photo was taken in 2009 by the photographer Juha-Pekka Järvenpää. On the reverse of this beautiful bi-metal coin is an image of the country of Finland. A darker dot indicates where the Koli park can be found. On the left side of the coin is the value indication of 5 Euro. In the outer ring of the coin the year 2018 is found next to it the country name Suomi (Finland in Finnish) and Finland (Swedish). A Proof coin cannot be compared to a coin in UNC quality. A Proof coin has been struck with a special stamp and is packed with the utmost care in the luxury packaging.
