France 2 Euro 2017 Breast Cancer

In the year 2017 it is 25 years since the ladies Evelyn Lauder and Alexandra Peney conceived the international symbol of breast cancer, the æPink RibbonÆ. The Pink Ribbon is designed for its femininity, joy and sweetness as such. In the last decades, no less than 100 million pink ribbons have spread throughout the world! The Pink Ribbon Association has the motto: ôbreast cancer, let's talk about itö. Many people do not keep quiet, but one fact is that 1 in 7 women get breast cancer! There is always someone who knows this. To commemorate the fact that the Pink Ribbon was devised 25 years ago, France has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On the coin one sees a woman covering her breasts with her right arm while she is holding a pink ribbon in her hand. On the right of the coin is the French text "25th Anniversaire Du Ruban Rose" (25th anniversary of the pink ribbon). The years 1992 and 2017 are also shown. The letters RF are the abbreviation of République Française (= Republic of France).
