France 2 Euro 2017 Breast Cancer Coincard

In 2017 it is 25 years since the ladies Evelyn Lauder and Alexandra Peney devised the International symbol of breast cancer, the æPink RibbonÆ. The pink ribbon is designed to represent femininity, joy and sweetness. In the last decades, no less than 100 million pink ribbons have spread throughout the world! The Pink Ribbon Association has the motto æbreast cancer, let's talk about itÆ. Many people do not keep quiet, but the fact is that 1 in 7 women get breast cancer! There is always someone who knows someone who suffers from this. To commemorate the fact that the æPink RibbonÆ was devised 25 years ago, France has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On the coin a woman covering her breasts with her right arm, while she has a pink ribbon in her hand, is portrayed. On the right of the coin is the French text "25th Anniversaire Du Ruban Rose" (25th anniversary of the pink ribbon). The years 1992 and 2017 are also shown. The letters æRFÆ are the abbreviation of République Française (Republic of France). The coin is wrapped in a spacious coincard. The release of this Coincard is 10,000 copies and each coincard has a unique number. Remarkably, the ribbon on the coin is coloured pink.
