Germany 20 Euro 2018 Frog King

This is the seventh coin from the series coins which have as their theme the Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm. These fairy tales have been on the UNESCO World Document List since 2005. The theme of this special 20 Euro coin of the year 2018 is the Frog King. This was actually the favourite fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm! The story is about the clever princess who plays with a golden ball. The ball falls into the pond, the frog fishes it out and the princess lets him make a wish. The frog comes home the next day with the princess and turns into a handsome prince with whom she marries. On the face of the coin one the three most important elements of the fairy tale, the frog, the golden ball and the princess are depicted. The frog is shown in great detail. On the left side of the coin is the text "Grimms Märchen" (Grimm's Fairy Tales) and on the right side of the coin is the text æFroschkönigÆ (Frog King). The eagle on the reverse of the coin is in harmony with the face, the ends of the wings are the same as the toes of the frog! The outer ring shows the text æBundesrepublik DeutschlandÆ (Federal Republic of Germany) along with the year 2018. At the bottom of the coin is the value indication of 20 Euro. The coin is minted in Stuttgart, this is seen from the letter of the mint, which is "F". The coin's inscription is "KÖNIGSTOCHTER JÜNGSTE MACH MIR AUF" (Young daughter of the king, change me).
