Germany 5 Euro 2018 Subtropical Zone set of 5 coins

This is the second series of coins from the German five-part series of 5 Euro coins that have as their subject the Earth's Climate zones. This series of coins with a coloured ring will be issued in the years 2017 up to and including 2021. The colours of the rings are as follows: 2017 = red, 2018 = orange, 2019 = green, 2020 = turquoise and 2021 = purple. The German 5 Euro 2018 has as its theme the Subtropical Zone and has an Orange ring. The Subtropical zone (also called the Subtropics) can be found on the earth above and below the Tropical zone. The Subtropical zone is characterized by a tropical summer and a mild winter. On the face of the coin some goats are pictured in the shadow of a typical tree of the Subtropical zone whose crown has the shape of an umbrella. At the bottom of the coin is the text æSubtropische ZoneÆ. The reverse of this series of coins is the same. In the centre is the Bundeskeller, above the head of the Eagle is the mint's location letter. The coin is minted in five different places, this can be seen from the mint letter and the colour of the Orange rings. The colour of the ring is different for each mint location. Most striking is the letter æAÆ that deviates the most in terms of the colour of the ring. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2018. In the outer ring of the coin the country name Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Federal Republic of Germany) is shown. Furthermore, the value indication of 5 Euro is shown, with the 12 stars of Europe unevenly distributed around it. Additionaaly, the Orange ring is immediately visible. This is made of the material Polymer. The text around the edge of the coin is æKLIMAZONEN DER ERDEÆ = Climate zones of the Earth.
