Greece 5 Euro 2016 Yannis Moralis

Greece has issued a special 5 Euro coin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the artist Yannis Moralis, (23.04.1916 - 20.12.2009), who was a typical painter of the last century. The characteristic of his paintings was human, love and death. He studied in Athens and in Paris. On the face of the coin is an image of Yannis Moralis at a later age with, in the background, one of his paintings. In the outer ring of the coin one his name Yannis Moralis is shown in Greek, as well as the years 1916 and 2009. The year 2016 is also shown. On the reverse of the coin is the text Greek Democracy in Greek and the value of 5 Euro. In the background is, again, part of one of his paintings. The coin is presented in a beautiful luxury package.
