Greece BU 2018 Rhodes

The 2018 BU set from Greece has the theme of the island of Rhodes. Rhodes is one of the largest Greek islands and is located in the South East of Greece. Rhodes is located near the mainland of Turkey. The crossing to Marmaris is only 13 kilometres. Rhodes has a rich history and was occupied for centuries by the Romans, Ottomans and most recently by the Italians. It was not until 1948 that it became part of Greece! In Rhodes there are, of course, many old buildings such as the Acropolis of Rhodes, Lindos is beautiful, and the old city of Rhodes is on the UNESCO list. Important new buildings in Rhodes have been built by the Italians such as the parliament building, the National Bank and the post office. In the 2018 Greek BU set the complete set of Euro coins from Greece 2018 is packaged. The 2 Euro coin is the normal 2018 Greek 2 Euro coin. Several coins from Greece 2018 will not come in circulation as loose coins.
