Product Description
The fifth coin from the series of Dutch special coins with the topic World Heritage has the theme of the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea is the largest contiguous tide system in the world and stretches across the coasts of three countries: the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. The Wadden Sea is a beautiful habitat for millions of animals. On the coin the characteristic aspects of the Wadden Sea are depicted. At the bottom of the coin are the series of inhabited Wadden Islands from Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. The islands of these countries are coloured according to the colours of the national flag of the respective countries Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. There is also a coloured cormorant, a golden starfish and a coloured seagull. At the top of the coin is the coloured text æDe WaddenzeeÆ which is in a font according to old sea charts. The value of 5 Euro is shown at the bottom left with the Dutch mint-master mark û this star indicates that the job of Muntmeester (mint-master) is vacant. On the reverse of the coin is an image of King Willem Alexander along with his silhouette. The image is coloured normally and the silhouette is coloured Orange. The text æWillem Alexander King of the NetherlandsÆ in the Dutch language is also shown. Furthermore the Royal Coat of Arms is depicted as original as possible.
