Lativa 5 Euro 2016 Disc Fibula Gold

Latvia has issued a gold euro coin for the first time. This is in preparation for Latvia's 100th anniversary. This first gold coin from Latvia has as its subject the Fibula brooch / Fibula disk. Around the year 400, brooches were worn by men as well as women to decorate their cloaks. At first they were imported, but later the brooches were made. They were also used as an amulet. The brooches had different shapes and the Disc Fibula clearly has Celtic influences that appear on the face of the coin, conforming to the original Fibula disk found at a cemetery in the Madonna region. On the reverse of the coin is the Latvija country name and the name Ripsakta, as well as the numbers 3_4 gs along with the value of 5 Euro. The year 2016, of course, is not missing on the coin and is visible at the bottom of the coin. The coin is presented in a luxury package and is supplied with a certificate.
