Lithuania 2 Euro 2018 Song and Dance Celebration Coincard

Every year the traditional Music and Dance Festival is held in Lithuania. This party takes place every year in the middle of the summer and those who did not participate in it cannot believe it. It is hard to imagine how a choir of 20,000 people sounds or 9,000 dancers dancing at the same time! For days the most diverse parts of music, folklore ensembles, Dance Day, Folk Art, Wind Orchestras, theatre, horn blowers, too many to mention, are seen and heard. This huge festival is on the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind. The theme of the Music and Dance Festival of 2018 is the celebration of 100 years of Lithuania. Following this, Lithuania has issued a special 2 Euro coin. The purpose of the issuance of this coin is that Lithuania wants to familiarize the rest of Europe with its wonderful customs and traditions. On the coin a number of stylized figures of people and birds that symbolize Lithuanian folk dance and songs are portrayed. These figures are in the form of paper chains, a typic al Lithuanian folk genre. At the top left, in the body of a bird, the year 2018 is shown. At the bottom of the coin is the country name LIETUVA (Lithuania). We have this special 2018 Lithuanian 2 Euro æMusic and Dance FestivalÆ available from stock mounted in a coincard. The coincard is simply executed with the paper figures standing, as it were, dancing on the colours of the Lithuanian flag. The edition of this coincard is only 5,000 copies.
