The Baltic States Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania became independent countries 100 years ago. Lithuania declared its independence on February 16, 1918. In the year 2018 it is 100 years since these three states became independent countries and to celebrate this, these three countries have jointly issued a single coin. On the coin the common past of the countries, the present and the future are all beautifully represented. The coloured national coats of arms, from left to right, of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are shown at the top of the coin. In the centre of the coin the number 100 is cryptically depicted. This number is coloured Blue, Black, White according to the colours of the Flag of Estonia. The golden-yellow braid starts at the top with the coloured crests and completes at the bottom to represent the joint future of these Baltic states. On the left side of the Estonian coin the country name "Eesti" is blue coloured.. On the right side of the coin the year 2018 is coloured black. The coin is packaged in a plastic coin capsule. In the centre of the coin the number 100 is cryptically depicted. This number is Yellow, Green, Red coloured in accordance with the colours of the flag of Lithuania. The golden-yellow braid starts at the top with the coloured weapons and completes at the bottom to represent the joint future of these Baltic states. On the left side of this Lithuanian coin the country name "Lietuva" is coloured yellow. On the right side of the coin the year 2018 is coloured green. Only on the Lithuanian coin the initials JP, representing the Lithuanian designer Justas Petrulis, are printed on the lower right of the coin while to the lower left is the Lithuanian mint mark. The coin is packaged in a plastic coin capsule.
