Koerich is a small town in the west of Luxembourg. Around the year 1180 the construction of the Castle of Koerich began. Throughout the centuries the castle had several owners. The nickname of the castle was named after its Luxembourgish "Gréiveschloss", after the Count of Marchant and Ansemburg. For centuries the castle was one of the most powerful castles in the region. The castle was inhabited until the year 1755 and has subsequently fallen into disrepair. On the front of the packaging is an image of the WitchÆs Tower that is now about 11 meters high but was originally 30 meters high and was significant in the environment. On the face of the coin a part of the wall of the original square castle is depicted. Furthermore, the coat of arms of the Castle of Koerich and the value indication of 5 Euro are shown. On the reverse of this beauti ful coin, in the Niobium section, Grand Duke Henri is portrayed looking to the right. On the left side of the coin the year 2018 is shown vertically next to which is the country name Letzebuerg (Luxembourg) also printed vertically. The coin is presented in a luxurious numbered package.
