Portugal 2,5 Euro 2016 Money Museum

On April 20 2016 the "Money Museum" opened in Lisbon. The Money Museum is located in the former Saint Julian Church and is managed by the Banco de Portugal. The coin was designed by the old artist Charters de Almeida. The coin has become a real piece of art. On the face of the coin there is a human hand holding a coin between the thumb and index finger. Around the coin is the text æMuseo do DinheiroÆ (Money Museum) and the value of 2,5 Euro. On the reverse a coin that is thrown away and disappearing into the empty space is depicted. Around the coin is the text "Banco de Portugal". The coat of arms of Portugal and the year 2016 are also shown.
