Portugal 2 Euro 2017 Raul Brandão Coincard BU

In 2017 it is 150 years ago that the famous Portuguese writer Raul Brandão (12-3-1867 - 05-12-1930) was born. Raul Brandão was born near Porto and chose to serve in the army. In 1912 he left the army and fully committed himself to writing various books. Because Raul Brandão came from a family of sailors his stories were often about fishermen, sailors, and the sea. To commemorate the fact that 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Raul Brandão Portugal has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On the face of the coin is an image of Raul Brandão. On the left side of the coin his name Raul Brandão, as well as the years 1867 and 2017, are shown. On the right side is the country name Portugal. This currency is, naturally, legal tender. This Portuguese 2 Euro Raul Brandão is mounted in a coincard. The special 2 Euro coin Raul Brandão is, of course, packaged in this coincard. On the coincard is a drawn image of the face of Raul Brandão, according to the image on the coin. Furthermore, his name is printed along with the years 1867 and 2017.
