San Marino 2 Euro 2016 William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare - who has never heard of him or of his works? A few of the best-known are Hamlet, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. Shakespeare is considered to be the most prolific writer ever produced in England. His works and typical words are still used today. 2016 is the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare. To commemorate this San Marino has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On the coin you can see an image of Shakespeare's face. On the left side of the coin is his name William Shakespeare and on the right of the coin are the years 1616 and 2016. In addition the country name San Marino is shown.
