Slovakia 2 Euro 2018 25 years Slovakia Coloured

Slovakia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire until 1918. From 1918 to 1993 it formed Czechoslovakia together with the Czech Republic. This is because virtually the same language is spoken in both countries. The Slovaks wanted to form their own nation and this became a fact on 1 January 1993! The country Slovakia was from then on an independent country and even entered the Euro on 1 January 2009! In the year 2018 it is 25 years since Slovakia became an independent country and to celebrate this, Slovakia has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On this beautifully coloured 2 Euro coin the country of Slovakia is depicted which, as it were, enters the Gate of Europe. The country of Slovakia is coloured in such a way that the higher and the lower parts of this country are immediately visible. Within the Rainbow-coloured gate the blue Euro sign is displayed with the yellow Europa stars around it. Furthermore, the coloured coat of arms of Slovakia, the date 1.1.1993 and the year 2018 are shown. The country name "Slovenska Republika" (Slovak Republic) is shown in an arc on the lower left of the coin. The years and the country name are shown in the National Colours of red, white and dark blue.
