Slovakia 2 Euro 2018 25 Years Slovakia Silver-Plated

Slovakia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy until 1918. From 1918 to 1993 it formed Czechoslovakia together with the Czech Republic.This is because virtually the same language is spoken in both countries. The Slovaks wanted to form their own nation and this became a fact on 1 January 1993! Slovakia was from then on a country and even entered the Euro on 1 January 2009! In the year 2018 it is 25 years since Slovakia became an independent country and to celebrate this, Slovakia has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On this beautiful silvered 2 Euro coin, the country of Slovakia is depicted which, as it were, enters the Gate of Europe. Within this Rainbow gate the Euro sign together with the Europa stars are visible. Furthermore, the coat of arms of Slovakia and the date 1.1.1993 and the year 2018 are shown. The country name Slovenska Republika (Slovak Republic) is shownn in an arc at the bottom left of the coin. The coin is heavily silver-plated and is packed in a plastic coin capsule.
