Product Description
This is the 2015 Slovenian UNC set. Slovenia introduced the euro as their currency on 1 January 2007. The Slovenian coins have a strong Slovenian national character. On the 1 cent coin is a Stork. On the 2 cent coin is the Prince of Karantania. This sounds like Carinthia, the most southern province of Austria, where the Slovenians were connected for decades. On the 5 cent coin is the æsowerÆ who is sowing 25 stars. On the 10 cent coin is an image of the Cathedral of Zobode, while on the 20 cent coin a pair of Lipizzaner horses are depicted. On the 50 cent coin the highest mountain of Slovenia the æTriglavÆ, which is almost 3 kilometres high, is shown! On the 1 Euro coin Primoz Trubar is portrayed and on the 2 Euro coin is an image of the poet France Preseren with a fragment of one of his works. In Slovenia in 2015 the number of coins struck is extremely low!
