Product Description
In 2016 it is 150 years since Jaan Poska was born. Jaan Poska was a lawyer and politician. He was Mayor of Tallinn from 1913 to 1917, and in 1918, with some others, called for independence for Estonia. In 1920 Estonia finally became independent from Russia, after being occupied by Germany. Jaan Poska played an important role in the background of the creation of this new Republic of Estonia. On 7 March 1920 Jaan Poska died suddenly, therefore he was not been able to enjoy Estonia's independence for very long. On the face of the coin an image of Jaan Poska's head is portrayed. The border between Estonia and Russia, as agreed in the year 1920, is also shown. On the right is Russia and the left is Estonia, which is coloured in the colours of the National flag of Estonia - blue, black and white. At the bottom of the coin is the value of 10 Euro. On the reverse of the coin the coat of arms of Estonia is depicted along with the year 2016 which is coloured in blue. The coin is presented in a luxury package and is sup plied with a numbered certificate, which also has a small booklet of approximately 40 pages.
