Product Description
As part of Finland's 100 year celebrations Finland has issued a beautiful special 2 Euro coin. The theme of this special 2017 Finnish 2 Euro coin is Finnish Nature. A photo contest was organized and the winning photo was taken by nature photographer Kari Auvinen. The winning photo was taken on the island of Harmaja. A crow on a branch is depicted with the full moon in the background. It is a compilation of two photographs, a photo of the moon and a photo of the Crow on the branch are superimposed one on the other. The crow symbolizes the modern Finnish character: an extremely common and intelligent bird that reacts flexibly to different situations. On the face of the coin the full moon is surrounded by the blue starry sky. In the foreground the crow, sitting on a branch, are both coloured black to emphasize the darkness. At the bottom of the coin, the year 2017 is coloured white. On the left the letters FI are also coloured white. These letters are the abbreviation of the country name Finland. The blue of the starry sky and the white year with the letters FI together form the colours of Finland. In the outer ring of the coin are the 12 stars of Europe. The coin is produced in UNC (Uncirculated) quality.
