Finland 5 Euro 2016 Relander Proof
|Metal||Koper - Koper-Nikkel|
|Category||Other special euro coins|
This is the second coin of the Finnish Coins series which have the theme of Finnish Presidents. The second president of Finland was Lauri Kristian Relander (1883-1942). Relander, a member of the Agricultural Party (now the Centre Party), was president from 1925 to 1931. He was known as a weak, colourless president and chose not to stand for re-election after 1931. On the coin is an image of Relander looking forward. The back of this series of bimetallic coins is always the same, a cityscape as seen from an open book. This coin is produced in the quality Proof. A proof coin is actually not comparable to a coin in the quality UNC or BU. A Proof coin is struck with a special stamp and looks completely different from a coin of quality BU or UNC. This Finnish 5 Euro 2016 Relander in the quality Proof is presented in a modern fresh packaging.
