Latvia 5 Euro 2015 Castle of Riga

Latvia has issued this special coin because in the year 2015 it was exactly 500 years ago that the Riga Castle was completed. Riga Castle, on the right bank of the River Daugava, is symbolic of Riga's skyline. This coin is square! On the face of the coin are stone statues of Madonna and Wolter von Plettenberg, the masters of the Order of the Livonian. On the left side of the coin is the value of 5 Euro, while on the right side of the coin is the country name LATVIJA (Latvia). At the bottom of the coin the year 2015 is shown. On the reverse of the coin Riga Castle is depicted along with the text æRígas PilsÆ and the year 1515. The quality of the coin is silver proof and is presented in a luxury package with a certificate.
