Product Description
Latvia has issued this beautiful coin, with the theme "False Mélancolique" in memory of the composer Emils DarzinÜ. The famous composer Emils DarzinÜ was born in 1875 and died in 1910 in a mysterious train crash. Emils DarzinÜ wrote several works, some of which, unfortunately, were destroyed. Fortunately, his best-known work æValse MélancoliqueÆ has been preserved. On the face of the coin is a falling star. At the top of the coin there are seven concentric bands in the shape of a rainbow. To the left of this is the year 1875, the birth year of Emils DarzinÜ, to the right of the ærainbowÆ is the year 1910, the year of his death. At the bottom of the coin his name is written. On the reverse of the coin the text "Valse Mélancolique" is written cryptically along with the year 2015 and the value of 5 Euro. Around the edge of the coin is the text æLatvijas BankaÆ and æLatvijas RepublikaÆ separated by diamond-shaped stars. This silver proof quality coin is presented in a luxury package and is supplied with a certifi cate. The issue of this coin is 5,000 copies.
