Lithuania 1,5 Euro 2017 Dog and Horse

This is the 2017 Lithuanian 1.5 Euro coin. This coin belongs in the series of coins with typical Lithuanian animals. On the face of the coin are two typical Lithuanian dogs. A Lithuanian horse is also shown. These animals flourish well in the Lithuanian country climate where it can be very cold in winter. Furthermore, the text æZemaitukasÆ (horse) and æSkalikasÆ (dog) and the name æLietuviuÆ (Lithuanian) are printed. On the reverse of the coin is the country name Lietuva (Lithuania), and the value of 1.5 Euro along with the year 2017. In the centre of the coin æVytisÆ is depicted. Vytis is a tough knight riding his horse with a drawn sword. He also has a shield and a double cross sword in his hand. Vytis is the National Symbol of Lithuania.
