Product Description
The theme of this coin is ævan NelleÆ. The ævan NelleÆ factory in Rotterdam has been on the UNESCO world heritage list since 2014 and it is considered the most important industrial monument in the Netherlands. This is the fourth coin of the series that have æDutch World HeritageÆ as their theme. This van Nelle coin was struck with the most modern techniques. On the face of the coin an image of the van Nelle factory is depicted. Furthermore, there are a number of tobacco leaves indicating that van Nelle is a producer of, among other things, tobacco. The text DE VAN NELLE FABRIEK, and NEDERLANDS WERELDERFGOED along with the year 2015 are shown. This text is written in the writing style of the 1930s. The UNESCO logo and the value of 5 Euro are also displayed. On the reverse of the coin the head of King Willem Alexander is depicted twice. It is the first time that his image has been shown twice on a coin. In particular the large portrait is very sharp. At the top of the coin is the text "Willem Alexander King of the Netherlands". The Royal Arms is also displayed. On the edge of the coin we see * God * be * with * us. The quality of this coin is BU. The coin is concerned in that it has been struck in the quality BU (Brilliant Uncirculated). This coin is therefore of a better quality than the comparable UNC quality coin. The front of the coincard does not differ much from the one in the UNC version, but the back is clearly different: The van Nelle Factory is displayed in a different way. Furthermore, the coincards in the quality BU are provided with a unique number. The edition of ævan Nelle vijfjeÆ in the quality BU is only 15,000 copies.
