The fifth coin from the series of Dutch special 5 Euro coins with the topic World Heritage has the theme of the Wadden Sea. In the meantime, the entire Wadden Sea from the Netherlands to Denmark is on the UNESCO World Heritage List The characteristic of the Wadden Sea is that it becomes dry at ebb. The Wadden Sea is the largest contiguous tide system in the world and stretches across the coasts of three countries: the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. This star indicates that the job of Muntmeester (mint-master) is vacant. King Willem Alexande r is shown twice on the reverse of the coin, these are a large image and a small silhouette along with the text æWillem Alexander King of the NetherlandsÆ in the Dutch language. Additionally, the Royal Coat of Arms is shown.
