Netherlands 5 Euro 2017 Johan Cruijff Silver Proof

Johan Cruijff, in full Hendrik Johannes Cruijff, was, according to many people, the best football player in the world. Cruijff had an impressive career as a football player and a trainer. He had a total of six clubs: Ajax, Barcelona, Los Angeles Aztecs, Washington Diplomats, Levante and Feyenoord where he ended his football career. As a trainer he was active at Ajax and Barcelona. Cruijff was known for his shirt number 14. This number he accidentally received after an injury when his original number was given to another player. He then remained, almost always, with number 14. Cruijff played 48 games for the Dutch team. He was also a distinctive personality and was known for his special statements. After his career Johan Cruijff lived in Spain where he died on March 24 2016. Cruijff was born on April 25 1947 and would have reached the age of 70 in 2017. As a commemoration a special 5 euro coin has been issued. On the face of the coin is an image picture of Cruijff at a younger age. On the left side of the coin is the name Johan along with the value of 5 Euro vertically. On the right hand side of the coin is his last name Cruijff written vertically with the number 14 below. On the reverse of the coin is the portrait of King Willem Alexander looking to the right. In the outer ring of the coin is the text æWillem - Alexander - Koning der NederlandenÆ. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2017, this is remarkable in that it is shown on the æfaceÆ which on this coin is the reverse. The quality of the coin is Silver Proof. The main difference to the UNC and BU coins is that this coin has been struck in the Quality Proof. That is, the coin was struck with a special stamp and packed with the utmost care in the luxury packaging. In this luxury package the information about Johan Cruijff is printed in different languages (Dutch, English and Spanish).
