San Marino 2 Euro 2015 25 Years German Reunification

On 3 October 2015 it is officially 25 years ago that Germany was reunited. After World War II Germany was divided into two areas, West Germany and East Germany (German Democratic Republic). In the year 1989 the wall fell and after a separation of 28 years, the two GermanyÆs were officially reunited on 3 October 1990. To commemorate this San Marino has issued this special 2 Euro coin. On the coin the most famous symbol of Germany the Brandenburg Gate is depicted. The Brandenburg Gate is mirrored, this symbolically represents two hands, an East German hand and a West German hand, that slide together. At the top of the coin is the text æ25 Anniversario della RiunifacazioneÆ on the right followed by æDella Germania 1990 û 2015Æ. At the bottom of the coin is the country name San Marino along with the year 2015 in Roman numerals (MMXV). The coin is presented in the well-known luxury packaging. The quality of the coin is BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) and the issue is 100,000 copies.
