Product Description

The 5 Euro coin of San Marino 2016 has the theme of Bellini. In 2016 it is 500 years since the famous painter Giovanni Bellini was born. To commemorate this San Marino has issued a special 5 Euro coin. On the face of the coin is a fragment of the painting of the Virgin Mary with a baby on her lap. This painting is in London. Furthermore, on the right side of the coin, a curtain is shown. In the centre of the coin is the value of 5 Euro. Below is the text Giovanni Bellini and the years 1516 - 2016. The 2016 San Marino 10 Euro coin has the theme of the San Marino Grand Prix. In 2016 it is exactly 35 years since this Grand Prix was held for the first time. This Grand Prix was held on the Italian circuit of Imola. The last-run Grand Prix of San Marino was in 2006. Michael Schumacher has won the race seven times. Unfortunately, at this circuit on 1st May 1994 Ayrton Senna died after an accident. On the face of the coin a modern stylized driver behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car is depicted. At the top of the coin you can see the numbers 1891 -2016 and the text 1st Gran Premio de F1 di San Marino is shown. The back of both 5 and 10 Euro coins is the same û an image of San Marino's national Coat of Arms with the text Repbubblica di San Marino above. The coins are presented in a luxury package and are delivered with a certificate.
