San Marino BU 2015

The theme of this BU set is the Public Palace, also known as the Parliament building, of San Marino. This Parliament building is depicted on every normal 2 Euro coin from San Marino. This building was probably built in the fourteenth Century, then rebuilt several times until it was fully restored in 1996. The parliament building is in the northern part of San Marino and the 60 members of parliament meet there regularly. Every day there is the æchanging of the guardÆ ceremony which is a spectacular sight. We were on site in San Marino to pick up the BU sets and we always love to walk through this UNESCO city centre and enjoy the beautiful buildings. (And of course an ice cream!) The 2015 San Marino BU set comprises the entire series of 2015 Euro coins from San Marino from the 1 cent coin up to and including the normal 2 Euro coin, which shows the Parliament building. The issue of this 2015 BU set from San Marino is 15,000 copies.
