In the 2015 it is 30 years since the government leaders of the then EU countries chose the European flag as the official symbol of the European Union. To commemorate this, each Euroland issued a common special 2 euro coin. The country name shows which country has issued the coin. The European flag is blue in colour and on this flag one are 12 stars with the point up. These stars are positioned as to the hours of the clock. The coin design comes from the Greek George Stamatopoulos, he was the winner of a competition where all Europeans could choose from five designs. The design from George Stamapopoulos was the winning coin. Centrally on the face of the coin is the blue European flag with the 12 yellow stars. Around the flag are 12 people in a circle. These 12 people are in accordance with the colours of the Slovenian Flag flag = Dark Red, White and Dark Blue. On the top right of the coin the country name Slovenija (Slovenia). In addition, the years 1985 and 2015 are shown. The quality of the coin is UNC (Uncirculated).
