Slovenia 2 Euro 2016 25 years of Independence

Slovenia is a small European country surrounded by Austria, Hungary, Croatia and Italy. Previously it was a part of Yugoslavia. On 25 June 1991 independence was declared. In 2004, Slovenia joined the EU and in 2007 Slovenia adopted the euro as their currency. Because it was 25 years ago that Slovenia became independent country, a special 2 euro coin has been issued. On the coin is the text æ25 Let Republika SlovenijaÆ (25 years Republic of Slovenia). In addition a part of a line of the Slovenian anthem this is ôdocákat' danö (live to see the day). At the bottom of the coin is the year 2016. In the outer ring of the coin are the 12 stars of Europe.
