Product Description

The Slovenian 3 Euro coin of 2016 has æ150 years of Red CrossÆ as a theme. In the year 1866 a forerunner of the Slovenian Red Cross was founded, this was a female department. In 1879 the male department was established and in 1902 they were merged. From the year 1944 the Slovenian Red Cross became a part of the International Red Cross. Because, in 2015, it was exactly 150 years since the first Slovenian Red Cross was established, Slovenia has issued a special coin with a nominal value of 3 Euro. This bimetallic coin is simple. On the face of the coin the red cross is stylistically displayed. Furthermore, the text æ150 LetÆ and æRdecega kri×a na SlovenskemÆ (150 years Red Cross in Slovenia) is shown. On the reverse of the coin is the value of 3 Euro, the country name Slovenija, the year 2016 and an image of the Red Cross. It is worth noting that the dot in the outer ring must point down so that the image of the coin seems somewhat oblique.
