This is the first coin of a three-part series of coins about Mozart. The first coin has the theme "Mozart the Wonder Child". On the face of the coin is an image of Mozart, as a 9-year-old boy, looking head-on. This image comes from an oil painting that still hangs in his home in Salzburg. He wears the clothes of Grand Duke Maximilian. The value indication of 20 Euro and the text æRepublik OesterreichÆ are also shown. On the reverse of the coin an important scene from the work Bastien and Bastienne from the year 1768 is represented. Bastien is shown giving a bunch of flowers to the shepherdess Bastienne. This under the watchful eye of the magician Colas who brings the two lovers together. At the bottom of the coin is the text "Bastien und Bastienne" in a special text. The coin is presented in a luxury package and is supplied with a certificate. The quality of the coin is Silver Proof. The issue of the coin is 50,000 copies.
