Austria 5 Euro 2019 Spring Silver BU

This special silver 2019 Austrian 5 Euro coin has the theme of 'Spring'. The awakening of spring breaks the long, dark and cold period of winter. Spring starts on 20th March, 2019 and will last until Friday, 21st June 2019. A wonderful period in which the flowers burst from the ground and the sun gains more and more power. The young fresh leaves appear on the trees and the birds whistle again early in the morning. It is the time when new life is brought into the world and the animal kingdom shows its most beautiful side. The butterflies emerge from their cocoons and the bees take care of the pollination of the plants! On the face of the coin a rabbit, that has its ears pointed up so that it hears everything around it, is depicted. The coin also refers to Easter which falls on the 21st and 22nd April, 2019. On the coin different flowers, that are pollinated by bees, are pictured. A butterfly is also shown gloriously flying on the coin. The year 2019 is displayed between the rabbit, butterfly and bees. The reverse side of all Austrian 5 Euro coins is the same, namely a depiction of the crests of the nine Austrian provinces, called 'Länder'. This silver coin is not circular but is a nonagon (nine-sided) to indicate the nine Austrian provinces. In the centre of the coin is the value indication of 5 Euro. The coin is presented in a beautiful package with a ribbon with the Austrian text 'Frohe Ostern' (Happy Easter).
