Monaco BU 2017

This is the BU set of Monaco 2017. Since the year 1640 Monaco has been able to issue itÆs own coins. The Coat of Arms of the Grimaldi family is always seen on the coins of Monaco. The first BU sets of Monaco were issued in 1974. From 2001 Monaco has issued Euro coins and also released the first BU set from Monaco with Euro coins. Prince Albert II has been head of the house of Grimaldi and Monaco's ruler since July 2005. In 2006 the first Euro coins with the image of Prince Albert were issued. His image is displayed on the 1 and 2 Euro Monaco coins. On the 1, 2 and 5 cent coins the Coat of Arms of the GrimaldiÆs is shown, and on the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins you can see the Prince Albert Monogram. The coins are presented in a luxury package with a picture of Prince Albert with his wife Charlene Wittstock and their twins, daughter of Princess Grabiella and son Prince Jacques who, in time, will succeed his father.
