Belgium 2 Euro 2019 EMI Coloured

The European Monetary Institute (EMI) was established on January 1, 1994, with the aim of establishing a European System of Central Banks that works together to create a stable Europe. The EMI even got legal personality! Everyone knows the ultimate creation of the EMI, namely the currency the 'Euro'. Guilders, Marks, Crowns, Escudos, Pesetas, Francs, Lire, Schillings, all became things of the past! An incredible development within Europe. On 1 January the Euro was introduced, the EMI disappeared and the European Central Bank came into existence. They were so proud of the EMI that they even elected a president. In total there have been 2 presidents of the EMI, namely 'Alexandre Lamfalussy' and 'Willem Frederik Duisenberg'. Willem Frederik Duisenberg took over the reins from 1997 and subsequently became the first president of the ECB. On the face of the coin is an image of the first president, Alexandre Lamfalussy, attractively coloured. On the left side is the text 'European Monetary Institute'. The year 1994 along with the letters 'EMI' are shown in the centre of the coin. The name 'A.Lamfalussy' is also displayed under his portrait with the year 2019 under the name. This coloured 2 Euro co in is packed in a coin capsule.
