Austria 1.5 Euro 2019 Robin Hood in Blister

This is the third and last coin from a series of three coins with the theme of the 825 years 'Coins of Vienna'. Robin Hood is a character who is known by young and old. Robin Hood stands for justice and honesty and is often seen as 'the honest thief'. He stole from the rich people and divided the spoils among poor people. Robin Hood lived in a time when there were no pistols or guns, he lived in the early 1200! The weapon of the time was a bow and arrow and he was one of the best at archery. It is often thought that Robin Hood stole money and expensive goods, but the opposite is true! He often stole grain, eggs, chickens, cows and milk so that the poor people could eat. He was a nostalgic person who was seen as a real hero for many people. On the face of the coin Robin Hood is depicted, hidden in the trees where his camouflaged clothes made sure he was never found, with two arrows in his bow! On the reverse of the coin is a picture of a knight on a horse with the country name Republik Oesterreich (Republic of Austria) above it. Furthermore, the value indication of 1.5 Euro and the year 2019 are shown. The weight of the coin is a Troy Ounce of pure silver (31.07 grams). For the first time the Austrian mint has mounted this magnificent 1.5 Euro coin 'Robin Hood' in a Coincard.
