Austria 1.5 Euro 2019 "Wiener Neustadt" 1 Ounce Silver BU

This is the second coin from a series of three coins with the theme of the 825 year Coin of Vienna. The construction of the city of Wiener Neustadt went in a structured and planned manner. Strategic thought has been given to the construction of this city. Wiener Neustadt was built in Steinfeld. The city was surrounded by a high, robust city wall in order to protect against the Hungarian kingdom. Leopold V used, mainly, the silver with which "Richard the Lionheart" was ransomed to build Wiener Neustadt! The first Austrian silver coins were also minted from this silver! On the face of the coin a knight is pictured on a horse, with the country name Republik Oesterreich (Republic of Austria) around it. The value indication of 1.5 Euro and the year 2019 are also shown. Remarkably, the weight of the coin is a Troy Ounce (31.07 grams) of pure Silver. On the reverse of the coin the old castle of Wiener Neustadt is depicted. The old city walls, with the so-called guard posts, are also pictured. Friends and enemies cou ld be seen from the guard posts and, if necessary, the alarm could be sounded.
